IPL (Intense Pulse Light)
It is light with a broader wavelength range than laser, with wavelengths ranging from 420 nm to 1200 nm. This broad-spectrum light is emitted at multiple wavelengths simultaneously, whereas laser emits a single-frequency beam.
As a result, IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) can address multiple skin issues in a single session, covering various skin concerns on the face, such as wrinkles, large pores, acne, melasma, freckles, and redness. Each skin concern requires a different wavelength, but IPL can treat them all within its wavelength range. The intensity of IPL is also lower than that of lasers.

It can be used to treat a variety of skin issues caused by sun damage, vascular abnormalities, and unwanted hair removal, as follows:
Vascular Irregularities: Such as acne-related redness or broken capillaries on the face or legs.
Pigmentation Issues: Including melasma and freckles.
Unwanted Hair Removal: Effective for removing hair on areas like the face, neck, chest, back, arms, legs, or intimate areas.
IPL Procedure Steps:
Preparation: The doctor will cleanse the treatment area and apply a cold gel or numbing cream for about 30 minutes. Clients will also wear protective eyewear to shield from IPL light exposure.
Treatment Duration: The IPL session lasts approximately 15-30 minutes, depending on the size and area treated.
After the Procedure: Clients can return home and resume regular activities immediately. However, the treated skin may appear slightly red or feel mildly irritated, similar to sunburn, for 2-3 hours. Some people may experience minor swelling for the first 1-2 days.
Hair Removal: Requires multiple sessions to achieve desired results, usually around 6-12 sessions every 1-2 weeks.
Skin Rejuvenation: Requires multiple treatments, typically 3-6 sessions every 1-2 weeks, to achieve optimal results.
Post-IPL Care:
Use gentle skincare products on the treated area for about one week.
Avoid sun exposure for 2-3 weeks (apply sunscreen and wear protective clothing when outdoors).
Avoid hot compresses or warm water on the treated area until it has fully recovered.
