The advantage is that the surgical scar is not visible since it is inside the mouth, but the downside is that there may be more swelling compared to external surgery, and eating can be more difficult initially. This method uses dissolvable stitches, so there\u2019s no need for removal.<\/h5>

Surgical Steps<\/span><\/h3>
1. An anesthetist will administer sedatives and local anesthesia to the patient, which helps minimize pain.<\/span><\/h5>
2. In the case of an external incision, the doctor will make an incision beneath the chin and insert the silicone implant into the desired position. For the internal incision, the cut will be made at the gum area adjacent to the lower lip, followed by lifting the chin bone\u2019s membrane to place the silicone implant appropriately.<\/span><\/h5>
3. The incision will be closed with dissolvable stitches, taking about 45 minutes to 1 hour.<\/span><\/h5>

Post-Surgery Care<\/span><\/h3>
1. After the procedure, the doctor will place a plaster on the chin. For the first five days, clean the area around the face with cotton pads soaked in water. On the fifth day (counting from the surgery date), the plaster can be removed, and normal washing can resume.<\/span><\/h5>
2. The stitches used are dissolvable and located inside the mouth (these will dissolve in about 3-4 weeks).<\/span><\/h5>
3. Sleeping Position<\/strong>: Sleep with your face facing forward, using a pillow for about 7-14 days after surgery. Avoid sleeping on your stomach or side.<\/span><\/h5>
